Tony Blair converts to Catholicism - mass immigration means Britain is now a Catholic country. Immigration from Eastern Europe means Catholics now outnumber Anglicans in Britain.
Tony Blair announced his conversion to Catholicism yesterday after a controversial 25-year spiritual journey which included wall-to-wall lying, the fixing of at least two illegal wars, the securing of paid-for honours, and the prevention of an enquiry into the totally corrupt BA-Saudi arms deal (see below). He made denial an art-form, and created a regime of bribery and corruption not see since the days of Harold Wilson. This practice and experience has obviously qualified him for the Higher Sphere of Criminal manipulation represented by his friend, the strange character on the left wearing a dress and a funny hat.
As a reminder to behave himself, we have sent Blair a postcard of Blackfriars Bridge whose girders once bore the weight of poor Robert Calvi, "God's Banker." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Calvi
"Claims have been made that Calvi's death involved the Vatican Bank (Banco Ambrosiano's main shareholder), the Mafia (which may have used Banco Ambrosiano for money laundering), and the Propaganda Due or P2 masonic lodge."
Happy
elevation, Tony!
From the Daily Mail:
"The former Prime Minister – previously a High Church Anglican – was welcomed into the faith by the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, after Communion on Friday. Blair's conversion comes as new figures show that that immigration from Catholic countries has meant that Britain now has more Catholics than Anglicans. During his time in office, Mr Blair had consistently denied any plan to convert to his wife Cherie's religion – but his desire to do so was no secret among his friends and advisers. They say he only held off for political and personal reasons: there has never been a Catholic Prime Minister and many of Labour's most reforming policies, such as those covering gay marriages and stem cell research, were opposed by Catholics."
Blair Blocked Saudi Arms Probe

Ministers last night faced calls for a fresh inquiry into the suspension of the bribery probe into BAE Systems' Saudi arms deals after it was revealed how Tony Blair intervened in the decision. Newly released secret documents show the then Prime Minister begged his Attorney General to scrap a Serious Fraud Office inquiry, fearing it would jeopardise future fighter-jet contracts. When the SFO controversially abandoned its investigation into the Al-Yamamah arms deal, Mr Blair insisted the decision had been taken on security grounds. But a letter from Mr Blair to Lord Goldsmith, then Attorney General, just six days before the suspension was announced, shows that he also highlighted the "critical difficulties" the probe could cause to the sale of Typhoon aircraft to the Saudis. The document, dated December 8, 2006, has been released to the High Court during a legal action brought by anti-corruption campaigners. In the letter, Mr Blair acknowledged an international agreement preventing the consideration of national economic interest but nevertheless referred to "concern" over "damage" being done to relations with the Saudis.
